On Saturday we went to Hong Kong King Buffet for my son Julian’s birthday. We have eaten there many times but not within the past few years. The food was yummy, just as I remember it. Everyone (us, my mom and stepfather, my sister and brother-in-law and my niece, and my grandmother) enjoyed the food. We let Julian choose the restaurant, and he went with this one for the all-you-can-eat crab legs.

Saturday night I actually got to work on my green carnelian piece again. I added two more cabs and started a third. I’m very pleased with how much I’ve gotten done between last Saturday and this. There is hope after all!

This week promises to be busy with preparations for Lily’s birthday party this coming Saturday. It’s hard to grasp the fact that two years have gone by since we were blessed with a little bundle of joy, who immediately upon arriving home threw our lives into turmoil, servitude, and poverty, and now rules over the house like a little Catherine de Medici.
