I finally finished the April page in my calendar journal. Here it is…

For the background I used Distress Stains in blues, and rubber-stamping with white acrylic paint. It’s hard to see the designs of the rubberstamps; maybe I needed to put more paint on them? I tried outlining the designs with white pencil but it didn’t add much.

The journaling squares are paper from the The Rockstar stack by DCWV; I splattered it with the white paint to add interest and to help blend it with the background.

Off to my May page!

Have a great day!

So I did not finish my Christmas ornaments to submit to Somerset Studio. I realized there was simply no way I could get them done in time to get them to California by the 15th. I did not manage my time well, and I worked on other things when I should have been working on my ornaments. oh well. I’m disappointed, but I will finish them and save them for next year instead. I really like how they are coming along…what do you think?

Memorial Day weekend saw our annual family trip to Black Moshannon State Park. My stepmom’s family started this tradition decades ago, and we have been fortunate to join them the last three years. My sister and her family also go, and it’s a great time with great people. The park is so beautiful – just green everywhere, and so peaceful (no TVs!). My favorite thing is our nightly campfire.

Here are some photos…I’m finally getting around to posting them. Enjoy!
