Here is the current status of my March page…

Not exactly turning out as I had imagined. It was supposed to be pale, with blue, green, and purple as the color theme. I wanted to do some stamping in white over the background, but the white was too light. I got the idea to emboss the stamping, and took a little trip to AC Moore to see what colors of embossing powder they had. I ended up buying…copper! Not quite within my original color scheme…But I did go ahead and emboss the bird stamp in the corner. I did some additional stamping with copper ink to incorporate that color into the page. I like it so far. I still have to glue the journaling squares on, and I’m going to add some glitter glue too.
I’m wondering if this calendar journal was a good idea. I don’t think I will ever have a month’s page completed before the month starts! I do enjoy working on it though…I guess I’m not ready to give up on it yet!
